Grado does make good headphones but the Sony MDR-5000s are considered to be
one of the, if not the most detailed headphones in the world, even when you
are considering +$1,000 setups. They are also reguarded as the best
electronic headphones in headphone hi-fi circles.
The Grado 225s would also be a good choice or the Sennheiser 595s, but I
think the Sony SA5000 cannot be beat by and of the low-mid grados, maybe the
PS1 but I'm not sure.
